Bumba Swim began with wanting better for my daughter and all the babies in my life that I love.

When I searched Canadian stores for a swimsuit for her first summer, I was surprised by how many were made from polyester, nylon, and synthetic blends. Fabrics that didn’t feel right against brand-new, delicate skin. I kept turning tags over, hoping to find something gentler. I couldn’t.

Babies’ skin is softer, thinner, more absorbent. What touches them matters. And I couldn’t ignore the feeling that their first memories of sun and sea should be wrapped in something natural, not plastic.

So I decided to create it.

Bumba Swim is rooted in a simple question:
What if swimwear could be as gentle as childhood itself?

Each piece in The First Wave is made from organic blends chosen for softness, breathability, and comfort. No harsh synthetics. No unnecessary chemicals. Just thoughtful design, quiet tones, and fabrics that honour little bodies.

We believe in fewer, better pieces. In slowing down. In caring for the earth our children will grow into.
